Hey guys! So, today I thought I would take a break from my murder mystery writing series and give a quick update on my current projects.
Progress on my novel has been slow. I was working hard on it, but I was only about 8,500 words in, and it wasn’t shaping up to what I wanted it to be. Sometimes, as a writer, we need to know when to start over. I had only begun working on it, so I saved my work and created a new project. I restarted my novel, and I am only about 1,000 words in. I’ve been very busy with school, work, things around the house, and other things. Plus, I have this blog and an Instagram page to take care of. That might not sound too much for some of you guys, but it’s much more than you think. This does not mean my novel is put off indefinitely. I am still working on the same novel, and I hope to finish it as soon as possible for you guys. However, it will probably be a long time before it is finished because of all the other things I have to do.
I’m planning on retheming both my Instagram page and this blog to be more sci-fi than it is. I’m a sci-fi author, and I want that to be apparent when people come across this website and my Instagram. Don’t be alarmed if you come back one day and this website looks completely different. Same with the Instagram page. I’ve been pretty all over the place regarding blog posts and Instagram posts, and I want to narrow my focus so I can bring in a specific audience instead of appealing to the general public. I want followers who would want to read my work, not followers that I can’t write for. I want to bring you guys the best stories I can, so I want you guys to know what to expect by changing my blog and Instagram page. I have a neon, retro, 80s atmosphere in mind, and hopefully, you guys will like it.
I know this was a short post. I just wanted to let you guys know what I’ve been working on, and I want you guys to know that, even though my next novel isn’t coming soon, I am still working hard on it, and I will get it out when I can. As for what it’s about, let’s just say the murder mystery series wasn’t a coincidence.
